As you already know, The Supreme Court this last week (June 24th) used their illegitimate power to reverse Roe v Wade - taking away the Constitutional right to an abortion. I want to be clear that my position on abortion is that I am 100% pro-choice and believe a person should have the right to determine whether they want to have a child. This is an invasive attack into our right to privacy, personal medical decisions, and family-planning. The government has NO BUSINESS making these decisions for us.
And let's be real - if you think this decision doesn't impact you, then you need to pay attention. Arkansas's trigger law has already been implemented which means the only case in which an abortion can happen is to save the life of the mother with no exception for rape or incest. As a state senator, I would absolutely work to repeal this law and codify a right to reproductive freedom into law. But what is even worse is that SCOTUS blatantly said that they do not want to stop at abortion rights. They want to use this ruling to go after similar cases that could take away rights to birth control, same-sex marriage, and more. That's why we need everyone to step up and not just vote this November, but get involved locally supporting direct aid.

Here are some organizations doing amazing work in Arkansas to ensure abortions and medical procedures for reproductive health can still happen for our fellow Arkansans:
